• August 22: Finally the summer is gone, and Paynbird has gone into MySpace

• May 14: Spring time: Mr. Olaus has not left the building (for several months). The last time anybody saw him he had a brand new, unlimited-track-machine under his arm, and a lot of plug-ins(?). Did you hear him say “concept…”?. Last rumor about Miss Olsen is that she has a brand new song going that fits perfect to the Hoefner guitar it was made on! Mr. Scholz has been dazed and confused for so long it’s not true. But he´s got a plan. Mr. Tjervaag is still very awake, and is doing good. All in all: Everything is honky dorey!

19 February: Saturday the 25th of February you can see the brand new video for the song “South Bay” (made by kollektiv.no) at Granat´s festival in Logen, Bergen.

28 September: radioapperance! Paynbird met up with Bård Ose in his studio in NRK P1, and had a
really nice time, talking about the new album, the upcoming release and debut gig etc.
Mr. Ose also played two songs from the album: South Bay and World on Fire.

10 September: The releaseparty on the 01St of october will start at 22.00, and
we´ll start playing at 22.30. Honkey dorey!

23 August: Releaseparty date is set: On the 1st of october Paynbird will play live at
the Kalmar kafe in Bergen. This is a pretty new venue in town, so we don´t know how
it will be to play there, but show up and share this experience with us. Covercharge will be set to Kr. 40,- and this evening the new album will be sold for Kr. 80,-. special guest: Ugler i mosen.

04 August: New guitarist! Terje Tjervaag has joined the bird, and We´re very happy to have him on board. We still need a bassplayer, but a good friend of ours, Dag ask, has kindly said yes to play his bass for us at the releaseconcert in the beginning of october so keep visiting: Date and venue will soon be posted…

15 July: Oh, forgot to mention that the radioapperance the 23rd of June went very well, and that besides from the interview Mr. Lund played 3 songs from the album: “South bay”, “Red paper” and “Mind”.

11 July: It’s summer, and not a lot happening besides from us preparing our musical skills(!) for a live audience… We’ll be back soon with live dates, so keep visiting, and have a great summer!

12 June: The album is now in (a) store, and a new radioapperance is scheduled: The only place you can buy the album for the moment is in Apollon, Bergen. Or by contacting us. We’re working on the distribution part, and hopefully it will be available all over the place soon!
More news: Mr. Olaus and Mr. Scholz travel to Oslo the 23rd of June to talk to Mr. Harald Are Lund about our new record; and play some songs from it as well. Tune in at 20.00

06 June: The album has arrived. It will be for sale from Monday the 13th of June. Prelisten to some of the songs at NRK P3 this Thursday between 20.00 and 23.00. The show is called Harald Are Lund, and you can find it – and listen to it here: http://www.nrk.no/hal

01 June: Confirmation: The album is on it’s way, and will arrive tomorrow!

30 May: Redecoration. The CDs are on their way, and will hopefully arrive in a few days. While waiting we had to get some new wallpaper.

26 May: The album is delayed, due to problems at the factory.

25 May: New webdesign! We´re not that dark anymore, are we? And now we´re back in rehersal, preparing for the albumrelease.

18 May: Confirmation: The new album will arrive May 31st.

17 May: Last update was done in a hurry; some strange things occured afterwards… It’s now taken care of, and hopefully everything is honkey dorey!

13 May: After 2 months of preparations; mastering, cover, legal business etc. the album has now, finally, been sent to the factory. In two weeks time we expect it to be ready: Releaseparty time! We´ll be back with more breaking news about this, and other happenings soon… Oh, by the way, this website has been slightly modyfied, and hopefully it´ll be a more enjoyable place to be now.

09 March: The new 12 song album: “The Street of Seven Stars”, is just around the corner.

19 September: Times are changing, and we have to accept the fact We´re back in studio to to finish the mix of the songs we started recording a long time ago. A long awaited JoeMeek-compressor has arrived, and we feel obligated to complete the long-talked-about album. What happens next is yet unknown.

06 May: Ha-ha, album!? We are definitely not working on the album for the time beeing. It suddenly struck us that we could not even play our songs together as a band. We thougth we could play, but we could’nt.These days all we do is trying to get to know how to playagain… Oh, by the way, the bassplayer of the late Lano Places and the guitarplayer from the still living UIM might join the bird.
